Nestled against the crook of the Laurenque valley, the house affords unparalleled views over the Orb valley and the vineyards beyond. Come and escape the pressures of everyday life, and let yourself be seduced by the ambience and light of this special part of Languedoc.

The front door of Le Rosier is on a small alleyway at the back of the house. The front door opens into the living room, which is the hub of the house. Here you will find a sofa and easy chair grouped around the log-burning fireplace, and an antique armoire.
The kitchen and dining area are beyond the stone arch.

The fitted kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make the most of the wonderful local produce. Appliances include a gas hob (cooker), an electric oven, a microwave oven, an electric coffee maker (dolce gusto), a fridge with freezer compartment, electric kettle and toaster. The cupboards are well stocked with crockery, glassware and dishes, and the dining table seats six.

From the living room, a French door gives access to the terrace, which is completely private. The terrace is furnished with a sofa and easy chairs, as well as a dining table.

An open staircase leads from the sitting room to the first floor and the master bedroom. This bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed (180 x 200cm). Two windows make this a very bright room, and the views are spectacular!

The second bedroom on the first floor is furnished with a single bed.
The shower room on this floor is equipped with a walk-in shower, wash hand basin, an electric towel rail and a WC.

The staircase continues to the second floor where the third bedroom is. This bedroom is furnished with two single beds and a double bed. The en-suite shower room is equipped with a shower cabin, wash hand basin and WC.

Below the terrace (accessed from outside the house or via stairs from the terrace) is a large store room, where there is a washing machine and ample space for storing bicycles or other sports equipment. Free parking can usually be found close to the house and small cars can be parked in the garage.
The river Orb is only a 10 minute walk down the hill and offers superb river swimming. Trails are numerous and give you the opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside on foot or by bicycle. Of course you may decide to simply lounge on the terrace and relax...
Please note: Because of the nature of the property, this house is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility or small children.
More about Roquebrun and area
Roquebrun carries the sobriquet 'Le Petit Nice' because of its microclimate. Citrus trees thrive in the village, and each year in February there is a mimosa festival.
In the village are two restaurants and a pizzeria, a bakery, a cafe/bar, and a grocery store, not forgetting the weekly
outdoor market on Fridays. Wine abounds and the Cooperative winery produces some very good wines, which can be tasted before buying. You can also buy wine at all of the independent wineries in and around the village.

Built against a steep hill, the village presents a beautiful picture as you approach. At the top of the hill, near the ruined tower of the mediaeval castle, a Mediterranean garden has been created over the past decade or so, which is well worth a visit. At the foot of the hill the river gushes over a weir which once supplied a mill with water. Today the mill has been turned into a gallery, and on the opposite bank of the river there is a long pebbly beach which is great for a swim. Also in Roquebrun is a Canoe and Kayak base, where trips of varying lengths are being offered.
A little further afield are the villages of Cessenon sur Orb and Saint Chinian. Both are thriving communities with a selection of shops
and restaurants. Cessenon market takes place on Saturdays and Saint Chinian has a lively market on Thursdays and Sundays.
